Millstone Medical Outsourcing was founded in 2000 by Shannon Tillman, who formerly worked for Johnson & Johnson and served as an officer in the United States Navy SEALs. Shannon recognized the pressures medical device manufacturers face each day to increase margins and reduce costs, while delivering superior quality, product advancements, and significant customer service. The initial idea behind Millstone’s inception was to help manufacturers address these challenges, and Millstone was a pioneer of a new market for medical device outsourcing focused on the aftermarket.
Since then, Millstone has grown in size, customers, and services. We brought on a long-term equity partner, Schooner Capital LLC, in 2004, and in 2006, Chris Ramsden was appointed Chief Executive Officer. Currently Millstone operates three facilities: two in Fall River, MA, which includes the company’s headquarters and over 8,000 square feet of Class 10,000/ISO 7 rated clean room operating space, and one in Memphis, TN, a strategically-located loaner kit processing and distribution center. Services consist of a full suite of integrated solutions, and we partner with customers to develop comprehensive, effective programs to address specific business objectives. One aspect of Millstone that remains the same as the day the doors first opened is the dedication of the company, our leadership, and our professionals to outstanding quality and to the needs of our customers.
